Individual coaching support for kids or parents.

Family System Support

Personalized, multifaceted wraparound services for your unique family.

Our Approach

Unique Children Deserve Unique Approaches

Cognitive Diversity

We embrace cognitive diversity as both necessary and beneficial to our world. These children possess the ability to be changemakers and thought leaders.

Strengths-Based

We believe that each child is inherently gifted. Our aim is to help children, parents, and educators identify and build on areas of strength rather than leading with deficits.

Developmental Focus Guides Behavioral Outcomes

Behaviors are communication. "Problem" behaviors indicate unmet needs and missing skills. We aim to find and address core needs and build up skills to create success that is lasting for children and families.

Heart-led & Personalized Learning

Leading with the heart, we take the time to connect deeply with each client, modeling and teaching essential skills such as respect, growth mindset, compassion, empathy, self-esteem, and self-advocacy. These skills create inevitable success through collaboration and connection.

Trauma-Informed

Centering the emotional wellbeing of both the child and the adult (parent or teacher) creates safety in connection, growth, and learning. Regulated children can better integrate information and access their innate curiosity and enthusiasm.

Evidence Based

Problem solving at its best is both collaborative and proactive. We incorporate Dr. Ross Greene's proven Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) model for addressing “problematic” behavior through collaboration and proactive approaches. Dr. Greene’s model has been revolutionary for families, schools, and institutions across the US. Move from rewards and punishments & consequences to an inclusive, sustainable and trauma informed approach that actually works. Center connection and understanding and find your back to your child today. https://livesinthebalance.org/our-solution/

Your personalized coaching sessions are centered on your specific needs and goals for your family and for your child. During the work with your coach, you will learn invaluable skills for long-term success. To ensure this, we typically suggest beginning with a 12-session package (payment plans available). Afterward, you can add additional sessions or packages to address specific concerns and goals as they arise.

We typically meet weekly or biweekly via virtual appointment. Session recordings are available if requested prior to a session. Home or school visits are also available upon request.

Identify instinctive strengths and discover authentic abilities

Your coaching sessions can be enhanced by unique and profound assessment tool that immediately allows you to have insight into both your and your child's instinctive way of moving in the world. This is a unique opportunity to get a peek into the language and approach that will allow you and your child to thrive while decreasing stress, anxiety, and conflict, and also improving self-esteem, connection and success.

Kathy Kolbe has designed a program measuring conation – how people take action.

This is also invaluable in discovering the best communication strategies to use to ensure mutual understanding and successful outcomes.

This measures your instinctive way of doing things and the result is called your MO (method of operation). It is the only validated assessment that measures a person’s conative strengths. Unlike any other assessments or quizzes you’ve taken, Kolbe gets directly at how people execute (as opposed to IQ or personality). Stephanie Kroack is a certified Kathy Kolbe Youth Consultant
